Bat Roost Count

Event Series Event Series (See All)

June 1 @ 8:00 pm 9:30 pm CDT

Closeup of Wisconsin bat.

Participate in a Citizen Science project at Hunt Hill! Citizen Science empowers ordinary people and volunteers to collect valuable data that contributes to specific scientific research. No prior experience is needed to participate.

Program Fee: Free, but donations are appreciated
Location: Richard Grand Recreation Hall, Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary
Registration: Not required, but strongly encouraged.
Limit: 20 people

Join Hunt Hill in learning about the types of bats that live in the area and ways that citizen scientists can monitor them. Once the sun goes down, we will count the bats that emerge from the bat houses around camp and maybe try some acoustic monitoring.

Participants need not have participated in the previous count to attend.
